Restorative and Flow Yoga

A form of functional fitness, yoga moves your body in the ways it was designed to move to help ensure that it keeps functioning properly.

A regular yoga practice can reduce your risk of injury and condition your body to perform better at things you have to do every day: walk, sit, twist, bend, and lift groceries.

At Valley Self-Defense, we host two forms of yoga: restorative and flow. Our restorative yoga class focuses on meditation, breathing, and holding poses for 2-5 minutes on the ground. Our flow yoga classes focus on moving through poses at a faster speed and are more of a workout.

No matter what class you choose, our instructor Ian can help you feel more comfortable with yoga poses based on your mobility, trauma, and more.
